When I was a teenager some magazines made me care about what celebrities supposedly carried with them in their purses.

                I looked at the picture of the acne remover or the pink tampon.

                I bought these products.

                I tried to be pretty every day.

                They have to pay for fancier products, I thought. They're rich.

                I’ll never know if they lied to me.
